General Pre-Surgery Instructions
1.
Your procedure may be performed with general, regional or local anesthesia. The pros and cons of each approach can be discussed with the anesthesiologist and determined on the day of surgery.

Our office will discuss options with you regarding your preferred surgery date and location

The day before your surgery, you will receive a call stating your surgery arrival time. If you don't hear from us by 3pm, please call us at 587.407.0424.
4.
In general, you cannot eat or drink after midnight the day before your surgery. Specific instructions will be provided by our office if you have medications that you must take.
5.
If you are going home after your surgery (e.g. day surgery), you will need a responsible adult to pick you up and stay with you overnight.
6.
If you have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine, please bring your machine to the hospital with you.
